Roman was three months when I went back and it only took about a month before he contracted a sinus Infection on top of a cold virus from the babysitters. My heart broke as I watched him struggle to breath and gag on the mucus in his sinuses, one of my bigger fears had become a reality... With him being so small there are really no medicines you can give an Infant. I did everything that I could think of. Humidifier, being in the bathroom with a hot shower going to create steam in the room and break up the mucus, which helped but provided little relief with how bad the infection was. I was afraid to leave his side for fear my worst nightmare would come true and he would stop breathing in the night. I slept on his floor listening to each breath he took as he struggled to sleep and breath air through his nose.
The next morning being a very exhausted mama, and a baby that had not improved much and had been struggling to eat, I felt out of control and utterly helpless to my son. I wanted to make him better and all I could do was comfort him.
That afternoon a friend found out about Roman and asked me if I had ever used essential oils? I had never really known much about them let alone use them, but I trusted her and she said the doTERRA's essential oil where safe for infants. I was skeptical, but trusting her and her judgment as a mother, not to mention being desperate, I tried a few samples that where given to me, Oregano and a blend called breath. With Roman being so young I was instructed to heavily dilute the oils with coconut or olive oil, and to only use the oregano on the bottoms of the feet. It was not very long before the mucus started to break up and he was able to clear his nasal passage enough to eat a full feeding. I stayed consistent with the oils and within a day my happy baby boy almost seemed normal and by the next day he was himself again. I was amazed how quickly he recovered after I started applying to oils. I researched the company and bought the family physician kit for my family and used them on my skeptical husband when he got sick and shortly after was converted to a believer.
After seeing person after person benefit from the doTERRA oils when I would give them samples, turning skeptics into believer time after time. (I still have yet to find someone who actually uses the oils consistently still not be convinced of their abilities.) I decided to join doTERRA's company because they are the purest, safest and most potent oils in the world right now.
Since I have joined I have been able to quite my day job and work from home and do what I enjoy doing. Whether it is simply helping a family take control of their own health or helping them grow a business out of it so that they are able to have the freedom of their own business, or both, I am here to help anyone who wants it.
